The Fon of Mbengwi and the Fon of Kai in Momo Division of the North west region died yesterday morning in a ghastly car accident enroute to Yaounde in what has been described as the first of its kind. No Northwest Fon has ever died in a car crash. See Photos of the accident below:
According to Akum Samuel’s source, president Paul Biya had invited 35 KEY FONs from the North West and South West regions for an important meeting BEFORE and AFTER he addresses the Nation on the 10th of July.
The two FONs were on their way to Yaounde for the meeting when they got involved in an accident that took their lives. “As we speak, 15 FONs from the two Anglophone regions are presently here in Yaounde while many are still on their way. For the FONs who are already here, their various Chiefdoms will not be mentioned for security reasons.”-Source
