A lecturer from the University of Buea, the capital of the South West region, and a school employee were kidnapped.
In a statement received by AFP on Sunday,
Charles Doumta, professor at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, and George Ongey, contract agent, were kidnapped on November 9th and 10th respectively.
No information was provided on the identity of the attackers or the conditions of the abduction.
“We note that these acts are intended to intimidate, create fear and panic among staff and students, and disrupt the smooth running of the school year,” said Vice Dean, Horace Manga Ngomo, in this text.
