Artuce Tella from the SNH Velo club in Cameroon, has retained the yellow jersey after the second lap of the Grand Prix Chantal Biya (Bafia-Ntui) in which Slovak Kubis Lukas, emerged first. Cameroon’s Artuce had finished top in the first lap in Bangante.
He has recorded a total of 06h30’1’’ which puts him ahead of his fellow teammates and the other competitors.
10 cycling teams from eight countries, are participating in this year’s event which is in its 21st edition. Two teams (SNH Vélo club and the National team of Cameroon), are representing the host nation.
The six-day competition was launched in Bangante in the West region on Tuesday 5 October 2021. It was the first time Bangante hosted a sporting activity in that capacity, and Elite of the area have said it will help sell the image of the town.
The competition will be run over a total distance of 695.5km in three regions of the country (West, South, and Center).
