On January 26th, 2019, BAS activists ransacked the Cameroonian Embassy in Paris, protesting against what they considered to be “the stolen victory of Maurice Kamto” at the presidential elections of October 7th, 2018.
The Cameroonian Embassy in Paris sued them for “Rampage of the Cameroonian Embassy in Paris” and the verdict was passed in a Paris Court today.
The commander of BAS; Abdoulaye Thiam, alias Calibri Calibro, received a 3-month suspended prison sentence, along with his comrade; Robert Wanto alias General Wanto. Meanwhile, their other comrade; Mr. Nelson Azonsop Tchetchago was slammed with 4 months.
They are also each required to pay a financial fine of 127 euros, in addition to joint damages of 4,500 euros.
