The Minister of Territorial Administration has expressed satisfaction with the situation at the Borgop and Ngam refugee camp occupied by close to 20,000 Central African citizens in the Adamawa region.
He congratulated the supervisors as well as the refugees in the region, for the collaboration that exists between them while cautioning the Central Africans to make sure they respect the laws of their host country.
During the evaluation meeting of Monday 13 September, Atanga Nji said “I’ve read the report about the activities in the camp, we understand that there are so many challenges, but I want to thank all the supervisors who are here because I see that the premises are very clean. I think that they are doing a wonderful job”.
He went on “we have been sent here by President Paul Biya to come and evaluate the situation of this camp. Cameroon is under the stewardship of President Paul Biya who has always given serious attention to the refugees who are in Cameroon. Not long ago we were in Garoua Boulai and Kenzo to give assistance to the Central African refugees.
The Minister of Territorial Administration said that the Head of State asked them to come and make an evaluation of the situation in the Adamawa region and compile a comprehensive report. He said he has read the statistics of those who are there, and thinks they are doing a marvelous job.
