The CAF delegation in Cameroon assessing the level of preparedness of the Yaounde Conference Center, to host the draw of the 2021 AFCON has rated the venue to be satisfactory.
During their working session on Monday 5 July, the CAF emissaries comprising Communication, Marketing Technology and Telecommunication Managers, with the local organizing committee, jointly evaluated how set the country is to host the event which was initially scheduled to hold on the 25th of June.
“This ceremony is scheduled for mid-August after the postponement requested by CAF for reasons we will not go back to. We and our partners, the CAF emissaries, had to evaluate and inspect the different facilities that are offered by the Conference Center” Sports Minister, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi stated.
He revealed that Cameroon plans to showcase a spectacle that has never been seen before during the event. “The Head of State wants that we should give the best of African image in Cameroon through capacities, resources, competencies and talent” Prof Narcisse Mouelle said.
Cameroon will host the AFCON from 9 January to 6 February 2022.
