Andre Onana and Clinton Njie are among the list of players that will represent Cameroon against Burundi for the sixth day of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Manchester United goalkeeper returns after retiring from the national team in Qatar last year, while Clinton Njie who now plays for Sivasspor in Turkey, had not been called up since Cameroon’s third-place finish at the 2021 AFCON.
The surprises come alongside the return of Harold Moukoudi, as well as the remarkable absence of Fai Collins who has no club at the moment.
Cameroon’s fixture against Burundi which comes up on September 12 in Garoua, will determine if the Lions will participate or not at the Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted by Cote d’Ivoire from January 13 to February 11, 2024.
