The people of Bamenda North West region of Cameroon woke up in shock in the morning of Saturday 20th May, to see the Mezam divisional delegation of women empowerment Center in flames.
The fire incident which hit the women empowerment Center on the eve of national day celebrations completely damaged roofs and at least 21 computers, reports say.
Surrounding residents say they were surprise to discover another fire incident in the town for the third time in one week. The first was the burning of five classrooms in the Atuakom Government primary School, while the second was at Mile 3 Nkwen, where four rooms and a beer parlour were ravaged by flames.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, but security forces have opened investigations, to track down the perpetrators.
