A ban on people moving around, brought in after 79 children were kidnapped from a school, has been lifted in North West Cameroon, a statement signed by the North West governor confirms.
The ban on movement in Mezam Division followed the kidnapping of school children from Presbyterian Secondary School in Bamenda on Sunday. It has been uplifted following the release of some 78 children and a driver.
The children were released last night after two days in captivity.
The Principal and a teacher are still with the kidnappers.
It is still unclear who kidnapped them or why
