Bidvest Wits won the 2016/17 Absa Premiership. The title was secured after defeating Polokwane City 2-0 at the Bidvest Stadium on Wednesday night. Bidvest Wits won the title 10 days before the end of the season.
Gavin Hunt, Bidvest Wits Coach, added a fourth league title to his résumé after winning three titles with SuperSport United. They have not received the trophy yet, the trophy will be handed over when take on Kaizer Chiefs in their final game at FNB Stadium next Saturday.
