The 3rd ordinary session of the National Assembly for the 2019 legislative year, opened yesterday.
The session was opened by the Speaker of the House; Cavaye Yeguie Djibril.
One of the bills that was tabled to the National Assembly for deliberation is about ‘The Penalty for Tribalism.’
There’s a law against Tribalism in Cameroon, but that law holds for discrimination due to religious affiliation and race, but it doesn’t cover discrimination due to tribe.
So the bill is calling for the law to be rectified for discrimination due to difference in tribe, to be added.
