A 10 year old Michigan boy called Jacob O’Connor saved his 2 year old brother Dylan from drowning saying he used a technique he saw Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson use in his movie “San Andreas”. According to little Jacob the event took place on July 25 at their grandmother’s house where their mom left them to go to work. He said he was watching the movie “San Andreas” when he noticed the door to the pool was open. Upon going outside, he found his little brother lying facedown in the pool motionless and the first thing that came to his mind was to use a technique he just saw The Rock use in his movie where he saved a young girl by doing some compressions and blowing air into her mouth to help her breathe after getting drowned in a Tsunami.
When interviewed by WXYZ TV detroit, the boy in his words said;
“There was an earthquake, then it caused a tsunami and then there was a daughter that was drowning and he had to get her out and did some compressions so i pulled Dylan out and did the same thing,”
After performing first aid, Jacob alerted his grandmother who then called for an ambulance and the little boy was rushed to the hospital. Funny enough, after being released from the hospital, little Dylan headed right back to his grandmother’s house and into the pool thereby causing the grandmother to double the lock on the door leading to the pool to avoid further accidents.
This act of bravery caught the attention of many including that of The Rock Himself where he could not help but tweet about it.
