Cameroon is the place our feet may leave, but never our hearts, because there is hardly any place like home. The T.V
series “HASSLES” is a 5 part episodic movie that highlights the inconvenience and stressful life Cameroonians have to
endure in the united states, just so they can take care of their families back at home.

HASSLES is a 5 episode series, that tells a story of 3 immigrants from Cameroon into the United States; Senze the nurse, Yebi is in nursing school and Dione has no plans whatsoever with her life. These ladies face a lot of challenges, including going to school, while managing two jobs, taking
care of their families in the U.S & back in Cameroon.

The series shows the reality about life abroad, as oppose to the popular opinion that life abroad is a bed of roses.
The series is Produced by Lami Edie & Directed & Edited by Samson Asongwe, two cameroonian Cinema enthusiasts based in the united states, Specifically
Oklahoma City.
Though thousands of miles away from home & in this foreign land, we are passionate about telling our stories abroad & bringing our Cameroonian culture &
heritage to the rest of the world through cinema & T.V. Hassles is born out of pure passion and shear motivation, as every cast and crew member on this set
volunteered willingly to participate in a project like this. We had a few actors driving as much as driving up to 6 hours on an interstate highway every weekend,
from Houstan & Dallas, just to make this project a success. Every actor in this series is a Cameroonian by heritage, both from the French and English Speaking regions of the country.

The movie is Dubbed in English, so French subtitles are translated to English on screen. Its no news that time is a luxury in the united states, so managing the busy schedules of the cast for several months, while maintaining continuity was a Hassle itself. We plan on officially releasing the series to Roku and other platforms on July 8, 2022.
