The alleged C.E.O of one of the numerous record labels in Cameroon called Pushplay Entertainment which is located in Buea and had a recording studio situated in Molyko is reported to be behind bars following his arrest from his home on the 28th of April 2017. The record label had a couple of official releases and had a couple of other public appearances like rocking the stage of FIAFA 2016 with Daphne and Montess.
From the information we had, it is reported that he was arrested by the police on the motive of misappropriation of the company funds and assets. After all the internal misunderstandings, which are evident because we haven’t heard from either their recording artistes or even their producer in more than two years, it might seem following this silence and misunderstanding, that the alleged C.E.O took it upon himself to sell out most of the company’s asset including; MXL microphone, M-box sound card, behringer priamp and behringer studio monitors(speakers) which are worth about 1.5million FCFA.
The case which sits on the police desks also reports that these items were sold to another renowned producer in Buea. The police reports states the producer in question has to bring back all the equipment he bought or the heat will be turned on towards his direction.
Meanwhile, a source closed to the alleged C.E.O of Pushplay who was arrested for misappropriating company funds says, he sold the equipment because the equipment were bought with his hard earned money.
This is indeed a tragedy… We just hope it all ends well…
