CFAO Consumer inaugurates seventh Carrefour Market center in Cameroon

The seventh business site of the Carrefour Market was inaugurated in Bonaberi on Friday, November 10, by the CFAO (Corporation for Africa and Overseas) Consumer.

The area in the Douala 4 subdivision covering a surface of 6000m2, was opened in a ceremony that was attended by the Minister of Commerce Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana, Governor of the Littoral region, Samuel Dieudonne Ivaha Diboua, Roger Mbassa Ndine, the Mayor of the Douala city, and Philippe Marcillon, the Director General of CFAO Consumer in Cameroon.

In his address, the Director said the establishment follows international standards, and will provide the inhabitants of Bonaberi with a wide variety of items and products of high quality at affordable prices, and with unmatched hospitality.

Philippe Marcillon said the supermarket has been stocked with fresh products from the local setting, and ones exclusively from the Carrefour Market.

The Carrefour network was first established in Cameroon in 2017. It now has seven sites, with five in Douala and two in Yaounde.

The new center in Bonaberi is expected to create over 115 direct jobs for inhabitants. There will be other additional opportunities in the areas of security and cleaning services.
