Cameroon international Choupo Moting, will be staying at Bayern Munich for an additional year.
The striker renewed his contract on Friday, March 3.
“Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting will be staying in Munich for another year. FC Bayern have extended the 33-year-old striker’s contract until 30 June 2024” the club said.
“We’re very pleased that Choupo will be staying with us. Choupo is an artist on the ball and has performed really well in recent years. He helped us in the first half of this season to fill the gap we had at the center forward” the club statement added.
The striker is currently joint top scorer of his team with 15 goals in 24 games this season alongside Jamal Musiala.
The Cameroonian has said he is happy staying longer at the club.
“I’m obviously pleased I can help the team so much” the 33-year-old said.
He has 33 goals in 82 appearances for the Bundesliga giants.
Choupo-Moting joined FC Bayern from Paris Saint-Germain in October 2020 and has so far won the Bundesliga and DFL Supercup twice with Bayern (in 2021 and 2022), as well as the 2020 FIFA Club World Cup.
