Cabrel Nanjip, one of Cameroon’s popular comedians died in a car crash on Thursday, June 15, along the Douala – Yaounde highway.
His vehicle is said to have collided with an oncoming truck around the Edea – Pouma stretch of road. Inhabitants rushed to the scene and tried to save the influencer, rushing him to the Edea hospital, but he finally passed.
Fans, friends, and relatives, have been inconsolable after learning about the tragic incident.
Sources close to the deceased, disclosed that he was on his way to collect his visa from the Canadian Embassy in Yaounde. They also note that he took off early in the morning alone.
The 33-year-old joins a number of other Cameroonian influencers who have died in the past few months. This includes TikToker Madame Cooper and most recently, La Mirage, an entrepreneur and key member of the Mboko Gang movement inspired by Cameroonian rapper Jovi.
Cabrel’s mortal remains, transferred from the Edea hospital mortuary to Douala, have been moved to the morgue in Bangante his hometown, while awaiting the funeral programme.
