Cameroonian Afropop Singer ‘Ama’ Fru is a gifted song writer and producer. His musical journey began with an early love of Highlife music and Soukous, drawing inspiration from such greats as Nigeria’s Oliver de Coque and Congo’s Koffi Olomide amongst others.
2012 saw Ama’s release Make Ma Mind di Blow in collaboration with rapper TiZo . He followed this with the release of his first solo Single, Ahead Ahead in February 2014 making him a unforgetable up coming talented artist. Nonny Orakwue (MTV & Bang Radio UK) calls Ahead Ahead “…a definite Afropop party track.”
Also a music and video producer, you could say that Ama’s plate is always full with one project or another. Some other works he’s directed include the releases #BruceLee by Julz ft Rawf-K and #Killa the debut single and video by UK based Cameroonian songstress Blanche.
