The Cameroon Football Federation is said to have received threats from Liliane Mbog Binyet’s lawyer, after the institution’s employee was accused of financial misappropriation and relieved of her duties as Head of the FECAFOOT Marketing department.
Multiple reports indicate that lawyer Dominique Fousse, promised they will do everything possible to ensure that justice prevails, given that the image of her client is being tarnished.
Liliane Mbog Binyet is said to have been sick for the past weeks, a situation which we understand FECAFOOT authorities were informed about.
Dominique Fousse said an ‘unfortunate’ incident like the one at hand, reveals how catastrophic the human resource management at FECAFOOT is “where simple suspicions prompt a presumption of guilt and a motive to sack someone without following required procedures” Binyet’s lawyer was quoted as saying.
“Mrs Ngo Mbog Binyet Liliane, formerly head of the marketing and social responsibility department is no longer a member of the FECAFOOT staff, due to suspicions of financial misappropriation” an excerpt of the contested communique published by FECAFOOT on May 5, reads.
Dominique Fousse has qualified the accusations by the football governing body as unfounded, and says Liliane Mbog Binyet has rather done a lot for FECAFOOT. According to the lawyer, the former Marketing department head played a significant role in securing deals for the Cameroon football governing institution like the ones with MTN, Guinness Cameroon, 1XBET, among others.
