FECAFOOT President Samuel Eto’o, was presenting the balance sheet of his first six months at the helm of the Cameroon Football Federation, Monday, June 27, when he reacted bitterly towards State authorities he believes are working against him.
He listed ten points which explained the progress his administration has made so far.
The second point which was on the successful organization of the Elite One and Two Championships brought out Eto’o’s dissatisfaction, when a 560 million FCFA support from the Head of State was mentioned.
“We faced a situation of having one part of the country ostracized, given that there was no pool in the North region. It is the moment to thank the Minister of State, Secretary General at the Presidency Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh, who transmitted our worries to the Head of State.
“Under the high instructions of the Head of State, a decision was taken to disburse 560 million FCFA to FECAFOOT for the clubs. At this moment I am addressing you, this money remains blocked by some dark forces hidden in our country’s administration” Eto’o stated.
“The persons who know themselves, have sworn to see our project for the rebirth of our national football fail,…Despite these obstacles, the Federation has succeed to organize the end of the championship in the North region” he ended.
The FECAFOOT President’s presentation marked the end of a training programme organized for sports journalists by the Cameroon football governing body.
