Eto’o wants four-year mandate and not seven

The president of the Cameroon Football Federation Samuel Eto’o, will not have his mandate extended from four to seven years, as proposed by the FECAFOOT General Assembly.

He made the declaration during the FECAFOOT GA’s ordinary session held on Saturday, May 27, in Yaounde.

Eto’o told his collaborators that “every work has to take into consideration the rules and values that need to be respected.

“One of these principles requires that the laws of the game should not be changed in the course of the match” the FECAFOOT president said. “That is why I call on you to reduce the duration of the mandate to four years” he indicated.

Samuel Eto’o was elected president of the Cameroon Football Federation on December 11, 2021. He edged close rival Seidou Mbombo Njoya, the former president.
