Cameroonian right-back Fai Collins, was honoured by his former club Standard Liege during the derby against Anderlecht on Sunday.
He was a special guest of the encounter, and gave the ceremonial kick-off.
Fans expressed joy to reunite with the Cameroonian international, whose presence, coupled with a 3-2 victory over Anderlecht that night, rekindled memories of his time at the club from 2016 to 2022.
He recently parted ways with Al Tai in the Saudi Pro League, and was tipped to join a club in Cameroon, Victoria United.
The speculations have still not been confirmed by the club which is reported to be on the brink of an exit from the Elite One championship with just five playing days into the top flight. The club has suffered three defeats and have complained about unfair treatment.
