Football stakeholders under the South West regional FECAFOOT executive committee, have expressed their unflinching support to Eto’o amid the crisis presently rocking the Cameroon Football Federation.
Several members of the FA have been parting ways with the current administration, citing mismanagement and corruption. The recent case is that of former fourth vice president of FECAFOOT, Henry Njalla Quan Jr. who announced his resignation on Tuesday, July 4.
The group of stakeholders in the South West rallying behind Eto’o, have distanced themselves from the disgruntled members. “A BIG NO to any individual or group of persons who want to mess up and bring disorder in the football family of the South West region” the group said in a jointly signed statement.
They expressed gratitude to Eto’o, pointing out that “like any human endeavour, there are always challenges and there will be challenges till the end of time.” The statement added that “these challenges should be managed in-house with all the available statutory and legal instruments.”
The communique from the South West FECAFOOT office follows controversial revelations made by Henry Njalla Quan II, labeling Samuel Eto’o as a “corrupt” president.
