Fovu Club of Baham are the 2023 Cameroon Cup Champions following a two-nil defeat over PWD of Bamenda on Sunday, September 24.
The West region outfit struck in the 10th and 63rd minutes, dashing hopes of the Abakwa Boys who were in search of a second title after the triumph in 2021.
The final blast of the whistle at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium left several PWD fans and staff disappointed.
“A disappointing afternoon for the Abakwa Boys. Time to focus on the league” the club wrote on Facebook.
The new football season is expected to start on September 30. 19 teams including PWD Bamenda and Fovu, are eligible to participate.
