Electricity company ENEO Cameroon, has made an announcement informing its customers in four regions of the country, that the power supply deficit experienced so far, will get worse in the days ahead.
In a release, the company said “Eneo Cameroon has announced that fuel supply constraints will affect the generation capacity of its Limbe thermal power plant as of Monday, 18 April 2022.”
The document further stated that “this situation will deepen the structural constraints experienced for some time by the electricity network. As a result, the supply deficit will be worsened in the Littoral, Southwest, West, and Northwest Regions.”
Eneo authorities have said they’re in contact with fuel distributors and SONARA, as well as public authorities, to monitor the situation and the prospects for a return to normalcy.
