Our very own Franko is being criticized for accepting the call to perform at the opening ceremony of the African Cup Of Nations 2017(AFCON2017) amidst the current political strife in Gabon.
Gabonese people are calling on a boycott of the AFCON2017 until their problems are solved. Schools, lawyers and others are on strike. Gabonese are complaining that there is a mismanagement of funds, no jobs, poor standards of living, assassinations, and amidst all that the government is using allegedly stolen funds from their petroleum to ‘waste’ during the AFCON 017. Because of this, the Senegalese original; French rapper, Booba, who was supposed to perform at the opening ceremony of the AFCON2017, eventually declined his invitation to perform. Check out screenshots below:
