The General Delegation for National Security, has made some contacts available including Whatsapp numbers, that Cameroonians could use to know the progress made in the production of their identification documents.
According to figures given by the GDNS, over four million Cameroonians are in the situation of double identity which is one of the main reasons why many of them are still not in possession of their ID cards or passports.
To know why a national identity card or passport has not been delivered, the GDNS has set up an information platform on their website www.dgsn.cm including two toll-free numbers (1500 and 1550). These contacts will enable the users to know why the deliverance of a given identification document has been blocked.
The GDNS has also provided five numbers that could be reached for further precisions. To know if the identification document is available, where to get it, why it has not yet been produced, what guidelines to follow etc…. The following Whatsapp numbers could be contacted (693 30 23 55, 695 70 62 91, 696 21 8128, 696 78 27 97, 698 30 93 44).
It should be recalled that authorities of the General Delegation for National Security revealed on Thursday 2 September, that over 3000 ID cards and 226,000 passports had been abandoned at the production center.
