Government is seeking a loan of 167 billion frs to develop the North West region!

On October 28, 2019, the Minister of Economy; Alamine Ousmane Mey, signed various conventions with the African Development Bank(AFDB) on behalf of Cameroon.
The AFDB was represented by Ousmane Doré.

Essentially, these agreements will be used in the development and asphalting of the national road – N011 which is a Ring Road which connects all the divisions of the North-West region.

It will also be used for the reintegration of vulnerable populations in the Lake Chad Basin.

The Ring Road will cross six of the seven divisions of the North West Region.

Precisely, it will cross Bamenda-Bambui-Ndop-Babessi-Nkambe-Misajee-Nyos-Wum-Bafut-Bamenda, with several connections to the border with Nigeria, on a linear of 365km. Total cost of the works is 167 billion FCFA
