Government launches tender to renovate the residence of the President of the Constitutional Council, worth over FCFA 200million

The government of Cameroon has launched an open national invitation tender for the renovation of the residence of the President of the Constitutional Council, Clement Atangana.
The tender was launched on October 23, a day after the Constitutional Council proclaimed Paul Biya winner of the Presidential election held on October 7.
The provisional cost of the house which is located in the Bastos neighbourhood in Yaounde is set at two hundred and seventy two million, six hundred and fifty nine thousand, nine hundred and ninety two francs, the Ministry of State Property and Land Tenure stated in the open tender published in Cameroon Tribune.
The works will be financed by the Ministry of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development, and the administrative, technical and financial bids shall be opened on November 28.

The house, however, is a state house. Meaning even after Clement Atangana, the next President of the Constitutional Council will reside there.
