The Technical staff of the Cameroon men’s national football team, was received in audience by Minister Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, on Friday November 19. It’s during this meeting that the Sports Boss handed the presidential letter of congratulations to the coach of the Lions, Antonio Conceicao.
The Head of State, Paul Biya, congratulated the national football team for their outstanding performance in group D of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. They finished first in their Group after defeating Ivory Coast one-nil at the Japoma stadium in Douala.
Coach Conceicao felt honoured to receive President Paul Biya’s congratulatory message “I’m very satisfied and proud by the words that have been translated to me in this meeting, I will transmit these words to the group and we will continue with our work, in order to achieve our goals,” the tactician said.
He added that they are making sure the players have at their disposal, everything that is needed for them to train well. The Lions will be bracing up to play the opening match of the 2021 AFCON which begins on January 9, 2022.
