Issa Tchiroma Bakary speaks out on the fire incident that occurred at the National Assembly yesterday!

Minister of Communications; Issa Tchiroma Bakary, granted an interview with a local radio in Yaounde called Royal Fm, where he spoke out on the fire that broke out at the National Assembly yesterday, burning several offices to ashes. Read all about it HERE

When asked about the fire; the minister of communications, Issa Tchiroma Bakary said :

“The probability is high that the origin of this fire is accidental. Given the way in which our National Assembly is guarded by trained soldiers, gendarmes and police officers who guard the building 24 hours a day, it would be very surprising if a criminal hand could slip through the cracks of the said security system, to cause such a fire.

The office of the Secretary General, that of the President, and the hemicycle, remain intact. The same thing with the offices where the commissions are held. So that is to reassure the public that the National Assembly will continue it’s work under the usual conditions.”
