James Bond Star dies!

James Bond Star Sir Roger Moore recently gave up the ghost in Switzerland at the age of 89 after battling against cancer.

His family took to his twitter page to announce his death as they wrote “With the heaviest of hearts, we must share the awful news that our father, Sir Roger Moore, passed away today. We are all devastated.”

Roger was the was the third man to play Bond starring in seven films including The Man With The Golden Gun.

Moore who remains the longest-serving Bond actor succeeded Sean Connery as Agent 007 No. 3 in the early ’70s. All told, he appeared in seven Bond movies:
Live and Let Die (1973)
The Man with the Golden Gun (1974)
The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)
Moonraker (1979)
For Your Eyes Only (1981)
Octopussy (1983)
A View to a Kill (1985).

His pre-Bond work included the UK TV series Ivanhoe (1959-1959) and most memorably The Saint (1962-69), as well as ABC’s Maverick, in which he played the English-accented cousin of James Garner’s titular card shark. He also guest-starred in Season 1 of ABC’s Alias as SD-9 Director Edward Poole.

The Bond star died leaving behind his wife Kristina More, three children,Deborah, Geoffrey and Christian Moore, a family and lots of fans to mourn him.
