We earlier reported that Professor Maurice Kamto was detained, he has now been released, alongside all the MRC Party members with whom he was detained.
He was arrested from Nlonglak junction in Yaoundé, where he was addressing his supporters and party members, earlier today when the President-Elect; Paul Biya, was swearing in.
He told his supporters that he would continuosly fight to defend what he believes and that is the fact that he won the Elections but was rigged off by the ruling party, CPDM.
He expressed despair for what is going on in the North West and South West.
After his release and that of his counterparts, he was escorted to his Santa Barbara residence in Yaoundé, by the military. See photo below:
