Coming from the 10 regions of Cameroon, there were 415 who registered for the Miss and Mister Pulse 2020 competition. Based on digital-only voting and pre-established criteria, 18 candidates were selected namely:
Miss: Liliane ZangueSonkeng, Murielle Sonia Guiadem, Leticia Djuidja Domtue, Limla Fonbanla Yolande, Ange Kengne, Gladys Magou, Cindy BakakeuNoufele, Vanessa Gaelle Foe, Cynthia Ada.
Mister : Mba Arnaud Kenne Tcheutchoua, Mpouma Ngoutt, Benoit Vuboh, Raoul Lacmango, Glen Bessong, Ahiwa Youssoupha, Abdoulaye Kabaya, Ndal-Miri Mirizoukou, Lonsti Moffo Carles.
Voting lasted till 12th September, 2020
The final results took into consideration votes on the Pulse platform (pulse.orange.cm), votes by sms and the jury’s score.
For this first edition, Orange Cameroon trusted local entrepreneurs to showcase local skills by letting Sonolive, Lakelle 237, RMB Bold, Institue GladStone, La Falaise Bonapriso, Empire Company, DJ Cyrus Black, Miss P show, and other local brands expose their craft. In a nutshell, it was a purely 100% Cameroonian show.
The Masterclass that held on the eve of the finals, at the Orange Makepe auditorium was also an opportunity to highlight Cameroonian entrepreurship. The speaker was Patrick Timani co-founder of Bee –Motors who spoke on the theme: “The project: From an idea to its realization.”
We would like to congratulate the winner of Miss Pulse 2020; Miss Vanessa Foe (East Region) and the winer of Mister Pulse 2020, Mr. Glen Bessong (South West Region).
They will enjoy a close mentoring by the Orange Digital Center on their respective projects:
-For the Miss: the eradication of drugs among youths and the creation of a platform to care for drug addicts by doctors.
-For the Mister: The creation of B.Glen cartoons, a production house for African cartoons at a cheaper rate and suiting the African cultural context.
They equally went home with important prizes such as 500,000 CFAF scholarships+1 Notebook+1 4G Smartphone +30 GB of Data + a professional photo shoot.
