2017 Miss SA, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, has kicked off her Unbreakable campaign in Mamelodi where she was involved in a self-defense workshop. The class took place at the Stanza Bopape Health and Community Development Centre with karate expert Mark Grobbelaar. Mark Grobbelaar runs an organisation called Woman InPowerment (WIP) which educates women on how to react when faced with life-threatening situations.
Demi-Leigh explained in a press statement: “The Unbreakable campaign aims to educate, uplift and empower South African women. This they can start to do by taking care of themselves and making wise decisions.”
