PCC Moderator to appear before the Buea High Court on 24th April

The moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon has been summoned to appear before the Buea High Court.  The Right Reverend Samuel Fonki is expected at the court’s premises on Monday 24th April 2017.

Equinox Radio reports that Rev. Fonki’s summons comes few days after the Consortium of parents issued direct summons to some Catholic Bishops in Bamenda and at least 4 Catholic Mission principals, to appear before the Bamenda Court of First Instance on Friday 21st April 207.

Though the reasons for Right Rev. Fonki Samuel’s summons is unclear, the indefinite closure of Presbyterian Mission schools like Catholic Mission schools especially in the English speaking regions of Cameroon, is tipped to be part of the reason why he has been summon.
