Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye-E.A Adeboye, retires as General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God(RCCG). This is prior to his 75th birthday coming up on the 2nd March. The new general overseer he appointed is Pastor Joshua Obayemi, his special assistant.
Pastor E.A Adeboye took over as general overseer of the church in 1981 from Papa Akindayomi. He made the church one of the biggest in Nigeria, with branches in more than 190 countries, including Cameroon.
