The Abakwa Boys have parted ways with coach David Pagou, following the expiration of his contract, July 25.
He leaves after joining PWD Social Football Club of Bamenda on September 17 2019, from Eding Sports of the Lekie where he served as physical trainer, and after stints with Renaissance of Ngoumou, Canon of Yaounde and Apejes of Mfou.
The gaffer’s tenure at PWD, which comes to an end after three years, was marked by 79 games with 36 wins, 24 draws, 19 defeats, one League title, and one Cameroon Cup.
“David Pagou helped to write a beautiful page in our history, and it’s with regret that we have reached this difficult decision” the Northwest club said in a statement.
Coach Pagou guided PWD Bamenda to a third-place finish in Group B of the 2022 Elite One Championship. However, the position was not enough to guarantee a Championship playoff spot for the Abakwa Boys.
