The release of the list of 26 for Qatar without Ngadeu’s name did not sit well with many Cameroonians, who have now been encouraged by the centre-back to give the Indomitable Lions maximum support during the World Cup in Qatar.
He was tipped as one of the favourites for the list, considering his role in Cameroon’s qualification for the World tournament, and his form with club, KAA Gent.
It therefore came as a disappointment to many, who did not deem anyone worthy to take Ngadeu’s place. Multiple reactions online, spoke volumes of the discontent among fans.
Following these reactions, the 31-year-old made a post highlighting nothing but love and support for the national team.
“Hello Family, we are in Qatar. We are on course for one of the most prestigious trophies in the world. Let’s write a new page of our football history. Cameroon counts on us” Ngadeu said.
“Each of us has a key role to play in this competition” he continued, “in the stands as well as in front of our screens, let’s support with the last energy, our warriors on the field, who would give their best in order to raise high the colours of our flag. We have the right to dream” Ngadeu Ngadjui ended.
The Cameroon national team is presently in Abu Dhabi, where they will have a final training camp before the World Cup begins in Qatar. Their first game is against Switzerland on November 24.
