The World Cup in Qatar starts with the Cameroon national team going in with a huge morale boost from federation President Samuel Eto’o.
He’s made it a habit to give words of encouragement to the squad in most of their outings.
As they played their last pre-World Cup friendly against Panama on November 18, he told the team he is doing everything possible to offer them what he had never been able to have while he was still in the team.
“Don’t look at us. It is your turn. It is your history. All we can do is accompany you. We are all determined to put you in the best conditions possible” Eto’o said.
Cameroon tied with Panama in the friendly. Choupo Moting scored for the Indomitable Lions in the 1-1 draw.
The World Cup starts today November 20, with the fixture between hosts Qatar and Ecuador.
Cameroon will be in action from November 24, when they take on Switzerland.
