Beta Pipol Cameroonian referee; Alioum Sidi, becomes the latest victim of racism, in football!
Alioum officiated a match between Moroccan club; Raja Casablanca, and Egyptian club; Zamalek.
Zamalek beat Raja Casablanca, and a disgruntled administrator of the Moroccan club; Abou Fadi Adil, took to Facebook to vent.
In his Facebook post, he expressed his hate for black referees, and called Alioum a slave!
He said: “Don’t buy a slave if you don’t have a stick to beat him with…This is why I hate Black referees…”
He quickly deleted the post, but it did not go unnoticed.
CAF is yet to make a statement about the outright display of racial discrimination.
Meanwhile, it is worthy to note that Alioum Sidi is one of the Best Referees in Africa. In 2019, International Federation of Football History and Statistics ranked him the 17th best referee in 2019.
