Dreams and wishes they say do come true. Even the slightest of jokes can become a perfect idea for a great project.
It has been revealed that the Grammy-winning singer Rihanna and Oscar-nominated actor Lupita Nyong’o will co-star in a buddy movie to be directed by Ava DuVernay for Netflix.
The project began as a Twitter meme after a photo was taken of the two at a Miu Miu fashion show in 2014.
The post went viral on the platform and got even larger traction when users starting specifically getting the attention of the two stars, as well as DuVernay and Rae, who all agreed they’d be up for the project.
Screenplay will be done by Issa Rae, executive producer of “Insecure” and directed by Ava DuVernay who directed “Selma”
We are still to conclude if the storyline will be based on the assumptions from the tweet but we can’t wait to find out more details,
