A deal confirming the departure of Sadio Mane from Liverpool to Bayern Munich, has been reached.
Liverpool agreed to a 41m euro (£35.1m) deal to sell the Senegalese striker to Bundesliga champions, Bayern.
A huge vacuum has thus been created at Anfield, given that Sadio Mane contributed significantly to the achievements amassed by the 2019 UCL Champions.
Mane, 30, scored 90 Premier League goals for Liverpool since joining the club from Southampton in 2016, and finished last season with 23 goals in all competitions.
It is worth noting that Liverpool had earlier turned down two bids from Bayern before the two clubs settled on a move for the striker, whose deal with the Reds ran until next summer.
News of Mane’s departure follows the acquisition of his possible replacement Uruguay forward Darwin Nunez from Benfica, for an initial £64m.
