The Minister of Territorial Administration Paul Atanga Nji, has released a communique informing political parties retained for the March 12 senatorial elections in Cameroon, that financing for the electoral campaign has been made available.
He said the distribution will start on Tuesday, 7 March.
“The first installment of the said financing will be distributed to political parties according to the lists presented and accepted” the Minister indicated.
He added that “the second part will be shared after the proclamation of the results, in proportion to the number of seats obtained”.
Ten parties were retained for the upcoming elections which will see 70 senators voted. Thirty others will be appointed by the Head of State.
