From Stanlion Clothing to Armani and Gucci, the World’s Leading Fashion Brands are Chipping in Huge Contributions in the Fight Against COVID-19.

Who could ever believe COVID-19 will bring the world to a standstill?  However, to prevent the spread of the virus, fashion brands like Stanlion Clothing and others have shut their shops across the globe. What a remarkable hit on the fashion industry?
According to World Health Organization statistics, there are more than 460,000 global cases of the virus with more than 20,000 deaths.

Stanlion Clothing is a leading fashion brand based in the US. Founded by Cameroonian fashion designer Stanislaus A. Akisah, Stanlion produces and retails hand-crafted suits that befit you and your lifestyle. Their suits are made from the highest quality fabrics and guaranteed to give you functionality, durability, and comfort. Their skilled master tailors are meticulous; they handle all of the cutting and sewing, ensuring precision in all production processes and paying attention to every detail.
Akisah is widely celebrated for his sharp creative articulation of style and bespoke suits for both men and women. Aside from his stint in the fashion industry, what many people don’t know is, he’s also a nurse and is now in the frontline of battling the COVID-19 pandemic.

In line with Stanlion Clothing’s social corporate responsibility policies, the brand has already donated 3,000 masks to hospitals and other front-liners like police officers and firefighters in an effort to combat the spread of COVID-19.
_”As a healthcare provider, you go in there, you pray before you start, and say, ‘God I’m just trying to help,'”_ Stanlion founder, Stanislaus Akisah, said. _”It’s a little nerve-wracking at this time, but we all know it’s a calling.”_
Like medical workers around the country, Akisah is also grappling with the shortage of PPE like gloves and face masks. When he thinks about his wife and little children at home, concerns intensify about the threat of exposure.
_”If you don’t have the right tech equipment, you can easily infect yourself,”_ Akisah told WUSA in an exclusive interview.

Since engaging in this activity in early April, the factories Akisah is using — which can produce up to 200,000 masks a day — has already fabricated about 3,000 surgical masks and 500 of the N-95s. He has also received $500 in donations which he says will enable him to increase the number of masks he can donate to local hospitals and healthcare facilities.

The veteran nurse and acclaimed fashion designer confirms he has already donated 1,000 face masks to healthcare providers in the Stanlion Clothing store located at 8851 Gorman Road, No. 102 in Laurel, Md. 20723 which will also serve as a point of distribution.

_”It’s important that we do this early and get them (masks) out before it (pandemic) gets worse,”_ he told WUSA.
Since opening Stanlion Clothing’s first clothing store in Laurel, MD, the widely successful Cameroonian fashion designer has dedicated his life to helping others and partnering with organizations that share in this vision. Stanlion is also a partner with Generosity Global which helps bring clean water to countries around Africa.
