Three Taxify vehicles were set alight and destroyed in Sunnyside, Pretoria during an ongoing feud between online taxi operators and metered taxi drivers. Three cases of malicious damage to property were opened and a case of assault has been opened by the first taxi driver. Transport Minister Joe Maswanganyi and Police Minister Fikile Mbalula have denounced the violence and have said that meetings are underway to try and find a solution to the problem.
