The Government of Cameroon through Communication Minister Rene Emmanuel Sadi, has called on all Cameroonians to watch matches of the AFCON taking place in the country.
He said this will add to making the competition one of the best ever organized on the African continent.
The Minister further indicated that massive mobilization by the population, and filling of the various stadiums throughout the Total Energies AFCON, will increase chances of making the tournament more successful.
“The government through my voice urges all Cameroonians to keep taking part in the matches, with the strict respect of the instructions given, with a spirit of fair-play, discipline and fraternity” Rene Emmanuel Sadi.
Hosts Cameroon, won their opening game against Burkina Faso 2-1, with Vincent Aboubakar scoring two penalties. Their second match will be played against Ethiopia on Thursday, 13 January.
