A communique has been released by the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education, announcing the sale of tickets as well as the instructions for the World Cup Qualifier between Cameroon and Mozambique at the Japoma Sports Complex on Friday, 8 October.
The Communique reads:
“The Minister of Sports and Physical Education has the honour to inform the public, that the match Cameroon-Mozambique counting for the third day of qualifiers for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, will be played on Friday 8 October 2021, at 5 pm at the Japoma Sports Complex.
“For this match, the Confederation of African Football has exceptionally allowed the presence of 10,000 spectators. The tickets will be available from Wednesday 6 October at the following places:
– MINSEP regional delegation
– Parcours Vita Douala
– Reunification Stadium
– Japoma Sports Complex
“The Minister of Sports and Physical Education recommends to the public, the strict respect of barrier measures against the COVID-19 according to the protocols of CAF and FIFA in the organization of international football matches as prescribed by the Cameroonian government.
“He calls on the civil behaviour and the sense of discipline by all in the respect of regulations for security in the stadium
“He demands comprehension and equity from the different actors concerned with the coordination of ticket sales, with the objective being to permit all from every social background to take part in this important match”.
Cameroon are in Group D of the CAF qualifiers. They occupy the second position with 3 points. Ivory Coast are first with 4 points. The last two spots are occupied by Malawi 3 points and Mozambique 1 point.
