Cameroon’s music sensation Minks, has placed himself at the helm of rap in the country, saying he is the one who possesses the yellow jersey which signifies superiority.
He made statements backing the claim on Tamtam Weekend over the State Broadcaster, on Sunday July 4, where a spectacle he was part of at Katios Yaounde, together with Tenor and Maahlox, got mentioned in the course of discussions during the TV programme.
Considering the level of the aforementioned two rappers in the music scene in Cameroon, the Ach4Life artist was asked if he still rated himself as best while on stage alongside Tenor and Mahlox, he said yes. “Rap is mainly a discipline of clash, someone proclaims himself as king and… for me in what I’m doing, I am the yellow jersey and I’m profiting again to say it in front of the camera” Minks insisted.
The French-speaking rapper and his fans are still savouring his recently released album “Urban Bantou” which he dropped some weeks ago.
Putting the debate of who is better than the other aside, several Cameroonians have expressed the longing to have nothing but quality content which they can enjoy the same way they consume what comes from outside the country.
